Ford India is all set to launch the new EcoSport Titanium S in India on May 14, reports AutoCar India. As per the report from the source, it is believed that the American car maker will launch the Titanium S variant of the new 2017 EcoSport with the powerful 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine. The updates are not just limited to the powertrain, it is also speculated that the EcoSport Titanium S variant will sport a stiffer suspension setup. The new Titanium S will be introduced as the new top end variant in Ford EcoSport lineup which has started reaching the dealerships now. The Titanium S variant will also be offered in a diesel avatar as well which will be powered by a 1.5-litre unit. Moreover, the newest addition to the EcoSport will be loaded with features such as sunroof, new 17-inch alloy wheels, HID headlamps, a restyled instrument panel, a 4.2-inch information display, tyre pressure monitoring system and much more.
On the exterior front, the EcoSport Titanium S variant will sport black inserts on the grille, headlamps & fog lamps and contrast roof that enhances the overall sporty look of the SUV. It will also come with a new Satin Orange paint shade. On the inside, the overall appeal of the cabin will be well coordinated with the exteriors giving it a sporty element. Morever, the company might also introduce the new EcoSport Signature Edition on the same day itself. The new EcoSport Signature Edition is speculated to be based on the Titanium+ variant that will be powered by a 1.5-litre Dragon petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. The signature variant is expected to carry additional equipment like black inserts on the grille, headlamps, fog lamos, rear spoiler, Anodized Blue paint shade, special 'Signature' badging, all-black interiors and much more.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the new EcoSport Titanium S variant will be priced slightly higher than the current top-end model. The new Ford EcoSport will take on the recently launched 2018 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon SUV, Hyundai Creta Facelift, Mahindra TUV300 & others.
