Lombardy, September 3: Fabrizio Longo, Audi's head of operations in Italy, recently met an unexpected demise due to a fall from 10,000 feet from a mountain. The accident was caused by the Audi Italy boss climbing a mountain and almost reaching the summit. The incident was witnessed by a fellow climber who alerted the rescue teams and promptly attended the scene.

According to reports, Audi Italy director Fabrizio Longo, who was heading the company's operations, was a passionate climber who liked climbing mountains. However, while ascending the Cima Payer in  Mount Adamello, near the Italy-Swiss border, he fell down 10,000 feet and died. A helicopter retrieval team arrived at the scene, took Fabrizio Longo's body, and transported it to a hospital in Carisolo for further study. Audi's head was equipped with necessary safety aids and tools at the time of the accident. He packed steel cables and ladders, which reportedly helped him on the route.
