New Delhi, March 27: The 2018 Range Rover Evoque Convertible is here. Jaguar Land Rover India Limited (JLRIL) has introduced the the 2018 Range Rover Evoque Convertible in Indian markets. The convertible SUV is priced at Rs 69.53 lakh (ex-showroom). Ex-showroom price is the cost that the dealer charges for procuring the car from the manufacturer and the tax that it pays to the state government on procurement. Excise duty is charged by the state government on cars. It is also called as the supply price of a car. It is based on the Evoque's HSE Dynamic variant and is available only with a 2.0-litre petrol engine option.
The country's first convertible SUV has given those with a deep purse a chance to experiment and their hands on something new in the automobile sector of India. "We are excited to launch India’s first luxury SUV convertible today. The Range Rover Evoque Convertible combines the bold design and refinement of Evoque with a sophisticated folding roof. It adds another dimension to the Land Rover family, further enhancing its desirability and appeal," Rohit Suri, President and Managing Director, JLRIL, said at the launch.

Specifications:
The Evoque Convertible for India is powered by JLR’s new 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine.
The engine makes 240hp of power and 340Nm of peak torque. JLR has claimed a 0-100kph time of 8.1 seconds. The car maker claims a top speed of 217kph.
The Evoque Convertible which is available in a single, fully-loaded HSE Dynamic variant boasts of features like adaptive LED headlights, heads-up display, surround view camera, park assist and Wi-Fi hotspot. It also supports limited gesture control.
According to Autocar, the drop-top Evoque will run on a reinforced monocoque chassis and will have a reinforced door panels.
