New Delhi, January 5 : German auto major BMW has again offered a glimpse of cars of the future and the sort of technology they may employ, with its new ‘i Vision Dee’ (Digital Emotional Experience) concept car at the ongoing CES 2023 in Las Vegas.

The BMW i Vision Dee is a concept vehicle that’s meant for the visual drama lovers with a HUD on the front windshield. This colour changing futuristic concept prototype however, if not only going to remain as a part of BMW’s creative concept, and like the previous iterations of i Vision concepts, some of its features are likely to find their way into new actual production models. New Car Launches Scheduled in India in January 2023: Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet, Hyundai Ioniq 5, BMW X1 and More To Launch This Month; Find Details Here.

BMW has already confirmed that its new NEUE KLASSE EV platform will be put to use from 2025. BMW has also said that the Dee will be featuring in the company’s Mixed Reality Slider as part of the safety control of how much digital content can be displayed on the heads-up display for a distraction free driving. This can slide from a fully analog to four digital screens for driving information, infotainment information, AR and even full VR. Of course, this will only be possible after the company offers Level 5 driver assist systems, and we all hope that things work out in the human drivers’ favour.

On the event of the unveiling of the BMW i Vision Dee concept, Adrian van Hooydonk, head of BMW Group Design, said to the media “With BMW i Vision Dee, we are showing how the car can be seamlessly integrated into your digital life and become a trusty companion. The vehicle itself becomes your portal to the digital world – with the driver always in control,” “Implemented the right way, technology will create worthwhile experiences, make you a better driver and simply bring humans and machines closer together.” Sony and Hond’s Joint Mobility Venture Afeela EV Unveiled at CES 2023.

The BMW i Vision Dee concept model is not only an eye-candy with alluring colour changing abilities, but it is a personalized experience for the occupants. It greets its drivers with a personalised welcome theme with a combination of graphics, light and sound effects and can even respond to voice commands with its multi-sensory effects. The vehicle can even convey joy, approval and astonishment all through its visual language. We don’t know if it can express anger though, but going by its word-less language capabilities, the future-ready vehicle may even do that, and we don’t wish to infuriate it.
