New Delhi, October 8: Chinese electric carmaker BYD Auto has launched its new EV, the BYD eMax7 Electric MPV, in India. Launched as a facelifted version of the BYD e6 electric MPV, the new eMax7 comes in two variants: Premium and Superior. BYD Auto introduced this new electric vehicle in India at a starting price of INR 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for this MPV have started in India at INR 51,000 token amount.
It comes with an attractive design and features on the exterior and interior. The car is available in six and seven seat options. BYD eMax7 Electric MPV six-seater starts at INR 26.90 lakh and the seven-seater at INR 27.50 lakh. The BYD eMax7 price for the Superior variant starts at INR 29.30 lakh, offering six seats and INR 29.90 lakh for the seven-seater variant. All the mentioned prices are ex-showroom. BYD eMax7 Electric MPV Specifications and Features
BYD Auto's new eMax7 Electric MPV comes with notable exterior features such as LED headlamps with DRLs, connected LED tail lamps, a panoramic glass roof (fixed), 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels and roof rails. BYD eMax7 is 4,710mm in length, 1,810mm in height, 1,690mm in height and 2,800mm wheelbase. Inside, the EV gets a 12.8-inch infotainment unit with the support of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12.7-inch digital driver display, wireless charging, a 6-speaker music system, automatic air conditioning. BYD eMax7 Electric MPV Premium variant offers a 55.4 kWh battery mated with a 161 hp motor with a claimed range of 420 km on a single charge. The Superior variant gets a larger 71.8 kWh battery and a 201 hp motor. Both variants are capable of delivering a maximum of 310 Nm torque and a claimed range of 530 km on a single charge. The EV achieves 0 to 100 km within 8.6 seconds. BYD eMax7 Electric MPV offers several safety and driving features such as TMPS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), ISOFIX, traction control, hill-hold assist, ADAS features, collision avoidance assist, 360-degree camera, emergency lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control. The car comes equipped with six airbags.
