Mumbai, August 15: On India’s 78th Independence Day, Classic Legends officially resurrected another legendary brand, Birmingham Small Arms (BSA), in the country with the launch of the Gold Star 650 motorcycle. It is the third two-wheeler brand revived by the Indian company after Jawa and Yezdi. The British Motorcycle brand was revived globally in 2021 with the launch of the Gold Star 650. The brand has continued with the same strategy for the Indian market by introducing the modern classic bike to the Indian market.

Launched at a starting price of INR 2.99 lakh, the BSA Gold Star 650 modern-retro motorcycle is built in India and takes on Royal Enfield’s Interceptor 650, which costs INR 3.03 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). The bike comes in five shades - Insignia Red, Highland Green, Midnight Black, Dawn Silver and Shadow Black. The top-of-the-line variant carries a price tag of INR 3.15 lakh (ex-showroom). There's a special variant - Legacy edition offered in Sheen Silver shade that is priced at INR 3.35 lakh (ex-showroom). Ola Roadster, Ola Roadster X, Ola Roadster Pro Launched in India.

It sports a retro design taking inspiration from the bike produced in the 50s and 60s, featuring a circular headlamp, flat seat, wide handlebar, and classic-style fuel tank. Chrome detailing on the bike further underlines its aesthetics as a modern classic bike. Built on a tubular steel double cradle frame, it gets telescopic forks upfront and dual shockers at the rear. For braking, there’s a 320 mm disc up front and a 255 mm disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS as standard. TVS iQube Celebration Edition Launched in India.

In terms of features, the bike comes equipped with a twin-pod semi-digital instrument panel with a USB charger. Powering the BSA Gold Star 650 is a 652 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The unit will churn out 45 bhp at 5,000 rpm and 55 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The brand claims that the bike can clock beyond the top speed of 160 kmph.
