BMW G 310 GS Spied in India for the First Time; Launch Date, Expected Price, Features, Specifications & More Details

BMW G 310 GS and BMW G 310 R motorcycles were showcased at 2018 Auto Expo earlier this year in February.

BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS motorcycles are expected to be launched in the domestic market soon. Both the motorcycles were showcased at Auto Expo 2018 earlier this year. BMW G 310 GS has been spotted ahead of its India launch for the very first time in India. The motorcycle was snapped at the time was loaded on the flat bed pickup truck which was reported to be somewhere in between Chennai to Bangalore. The said motorcycle is already being built in India alongside G310R by TVS Motors as a part of its Alliance with BMW Motorrad. The motorcycles are already on sale in the international markets, however, yet to hit the domestic market. The much awaited BMW G 310 R motorcycle is a naked street fighter whereas the G 310 GS is essentially an adventure version of the former that are already being exported to various international markets. Both the bikes share mechanical parts like engine as well as gearbox with flagship model from TVS Motors - Apache RR 310. On the mechanical front, the new BMW G310 R and GS 310 R motorcycles will come powered by a 313cc, liquid-cooled motor as seen on the Apache RR 310. The engine will be tuned to produce maximum power of 34bhp with peak torque of 28Nm and will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. As far as the styling is concerned, the G 310 GS motorcycle will borrow the styling elements from bigger R 1200 GS motorcycle. It will sport edgy tank extensions, luggage rack, alloy wheels, Metzeler Tourance Tires and much more. For suspension, the motorcycle will get USD fork s upfront and monoshock suspension at the rear along with disc brakes at both the ends and ABS as standard. Once launched in the country, the motorcycle will take on the rivals such as Royal Enfield Himalayan and Kawasaki Versys X-300 in India. On the price point, the company is yet to announce the prices for the G 310 GS in India however, we speculate that the company could price the motorcycle around Rs. 3 lakh (ex-showroom).
