BMW F 900 GS, BMW F 900 GS Adventure Launched in India; Check Price, Features & Specifications
The all-new BMW F 900 GS is priced at INR 13.75 lakh, while the BMW F 900 GS Adventure costs INR 14.75 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). Deliveries will begin from next month onwards.
Mumbai, September 17: BMW Motorrad, which is a two-wheeler arm of BMW Group, on Monday, officially launched the all-new BMW F 900 GS and BMW F 900 GS Adventure middleweight adventure motorcycles for the Indian market. The all-new BMW F 900 GS is priced at INR 13.75 lakh, while the BMW F 900 GS Adventure costs INR 14.75 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). Both bikes will be available in the country as Completely Built-up Units (CBU). The new F 900 Twin replaces the F 850 GS and the F 850 GS Adventure in the BMW Motorrad product lineup. BMW is already accepting bookings for the bikes, and deliveries will begin from next month onwards.
The BMW F 900 GS comes in two variants - Style Passion in Sao Paulo Yellow shade and the GS Trophy in Lightweight / Racing Blue Metallic colour. The BMW F 900 GS Adventure is also available in two colour schemes - Black Storm Metallic and White Aluminium matt. 2024 Yamaha R15M, MT-15 V2 MotoGP Edition Launched in India.
Visual changes in the all-new BMW F 900 GS range are evident compared to its predecessor. The F 900 GS now gets a new headlight, giving a subtle resemblance to its younger sibling, the G 310 GS. It has a smaller 14.5-litre fuel tank, bigger bodywork, road-focussed tyres and weighs 246 kg. The F 900 GSA, on the other hand, comes with a bigger 23-litre fuel tank, a slimmer profile, and is lighter by 27 kgs.
Mechanically, the F 900 Twins are powered by a new 895cc parallel-twin engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quick-shifter. The unit produces 105 hp at 8,000 rpm with a peak torque of 93 Nm at 6,750 rpm. As displacement has increased from 853cc, power and torque have bumped by 10 hp and 1 Nm, respectively. 2024 TVS Apache RR 310 Launched in India.
Both bikes get 43 mm Showa-sourced Up-Side Down (USD) suspension with 230 mm travel at the front and a monoshock setup with 215 mm travel at the rear. The F 900 GS is built as a purely off-road focussed motorcycle with a fully adjustable USD fork and monoshock. On the contrary, the F 900 GS Adventure has an electronically adjustable suspension designed for comfortable riding on long-distance touring. For braking, the bikes get 305 mm discs up front and a single 265 mm disc at the rear. Feature-wise, F 900 Twins come equipped with ABS, cornering ABS, traction control, various riding modes and a 6.5-inch TFT screen. 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V Launched in India.
