New Delhi, October 1: The BMW CE 02 electric scooter is launched in India at a starting price of INR 4,49,900 (ex-showroom), making it the second most expensive two-wheeler in the Indian market. BMW Motorrad India already launched its most expensive premium electric scooter, the BMW CE 04, in July 2024 at INR 14.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

The BMW CE 02 has a minimalist design and is manufactured at the TVS facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The e-scooter offers a premium-looking design and a single 745mm seat that can accommodate two people. On the front, it has a rectangular-shaped LED headlight. BMW Motorrad India has launched its second-most expensive electric scooter in India with a 3.5-inch micro TFT screen for instrumental control. The e-scooter comes with an onboard computer and offers a keyless ride, adjustable handbrake lever, anti-theft alarm, reversing aid and three riding modes - Flash, Flow and Surf. The BMW CE 02 electric scooter gets a USB-C charging port, Bluetooth Connectivity, LED flashing, turn indicator, multi-controller, Daytime Running Light LED headlight and electronic mobiliser. The scooter offers a 4-way button to let the rider control the BMW Motorrad Connected App Features.

The BMW CE 02 e-scooter gets two 2 kWh batteries that generate a maximum of 15 bhp power at 5,500 rpm and 55 Nm maximum torque at 1,000 rpm. The high-voltage battery capacity is 3.92 kWh, which supports a maximum of 0.9 kWh fast charging. The company claims that the standard charging time for reaching 80% from 20% is 102 minutes, and it will take 3 hours and 30 minutes to get from 0% to 100%. The BMW CE 02 achieves 0 to 50 km within 3 seconds. The scooter also comes with Special Power Saving Mode. BMW Motorrad said that customers would get a 3-year warranty with unlimited mileage. The CE 02 has 14-inch alloy wheels, which have 120/80 sections on the front and 150/70 sections on the rear. The two-wheeler is available at an INR 9,999 monthly installment.
