Bajaj Auto officially launched the Chetak electric scooter in India at a starting of Rs 1 Lakh for Urbane edition. On the other hand, the Chetak Premium edition is priced at Rs 1.15 lakh.

Bajaj Auto today officially will be announcing the prices of the much-awaited Chetak electric scooter in India. The Chetak electric scooter will be launched under Bajaj's EV division, which will be called as Urbanite. As a reminder, the company officially took wraps off the Chetak electric towards the end of last year. It was at the unveiling event wherein the company confirmed that the scooter will be launched by early 2020. The company is all set to reinvent the charisma of Chetak by launching it in an electric avatar. We have already mentioned that the event will majorly focus on Chetak's price, deliveries and availability in the country. On the design front, the scooter will be retaining its neo-retro design that is underlined by bunch of new elements like LED headlight with strip LED DRLs, circular retro-styled complete digital instrument panel, 12-inch alloy wheels, rear sequential blinkers, and more.
The scooter comes equipped with a 4kW electric motor assisting the lithium-ion battery to provide a range of over 100 km. The company claims that the battery can proffer a range of 95 km and 85 km in Sport and Eco modes respectively.
On the mechanical front, the e-scooter will employ a 4kW electric motor to generate power from a lithium-ion battery. The battery is claimed to offer range of around 100 km on a single charge in Eco Mode. On the other hand, the scooter will offer a range of 85 km in Sport Mode. As far as the prices are concerned, the scooter is likely to be priced somewhere around Rs 1.2 lakh (ex-showroom). Initially, the scooter will be launched in Pune and later in Bengaluru.
