According to a report by 9to5Mac, Apple has been assessing the possibility of partnering with the US-based EV startup for an undisclosed purpose, and Rivian would most likely be on the list. If this is true, then the tech giant would still be considering to introduce its own autonomous electric vehicles sometime in the future. Apple's self-driving car project was called "Project Titan," which ended in February 2024. The reports said that Apple car project failed because it was proven too difficult for the company to develop a software and algorithms that could offer autonomous driving features.
