Mumbai, July 26: Hero MotoCorp has officially launched the updated version of the Xtreme 160R 4V motorcycle in India. The updated version gets cosmetic upgrades along with feature enhancements, whereas the mechanical front remains unchanged. The 160cc bike has a price tag of INR 1,38,500 (ex-showroom Delhi), which makes it INR 2,000 costlier than the previous top-of-the-line variant. The bike now gets a new Kevlar Brown paint scheme, which is a combination of Brown and Black colours that gives the bike a sporty appeal.
Hero MotoCorp now offers the motorcycle in three colours – newly added Kevlar Brown, Matte Slate Black and Neon Shooting Star. A single seat, seen on the previous model, has been replaced with a split seat. The 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V continues to get upside-down (USD) forks up front and monoshock with pre-load adjustment at the rear. Front braking, the bike has disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. BMW CE 04 Launched in India.
The updated Hero Xtreme 160 4V is now more feature-loaded than the outgoing model. It has a fully digital instrument cluster featuring a drag race timer to monitor the bike’s acceleration capabilities (0 to 60 kmph) and determine the time to clock a 0-402 metre run. The bike also gets an emergency braking alert feature that ensures the taillamp and indicators flash immediately under rapid deceleration. The heart of the motorcycle remains the same 163.22 cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The unit is tuned to make 16.6 bhp of maximum power with a peak torque of 14.6 Nm. The bike competes with the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Honda SP160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the Yamaha FZS Fi 4V in the competitive 160cc segment.
