Mumbai, September 13: Hero MotoCorp recently launched the updated Xtreme 160R 2V for the Indian market. Priced at INR 1.11 lakh (ex-showroom), the motorcycle is approximately INR 10,000 cheaper than the outgoing model. The update aligns with the Xtreme 160R 4V variant, which was recently launched in India, to keep its portfolio updated ahead of the festive season, which could bring in some extra bump in sales. Design & Colour:
The updated Hero Xtreme 160R 2V gets subtle design updates and certain feature additions. The overall design of the bike remains the same. However, the tail lamp has been updated with the signature H-mark. The seat now has a flatter profile with height lowered for easy accessibility. It comes in a single shade of Stealth Black. Features:

Engine and Specifications:
Mechanically, the Hero Xtreme 160R 2V 2024 remains untouched with the same 163.2 cc air-cooled single-cylinder motor that comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The unit can produce maximum power of 14.79 bhp with a peak torque of 14 Nm. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork up front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. The bike gets a disc brake up front and a drum brake at the rear as a braking setup.
Competition:
As for competition, the 2024 Xtreme 160R 2V takes on the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 160, Bajaj Pulsar N160, Honda SP160 and the Yamaha FZS Fi.
