2019 Renault Kwid Facelift Launched in India With Starting Price of Rs 2.83 Lakh; Prices, Features, Variants & Specifications

Renault India has finally launched the updated version of the Kwid small car in the country. Launched with a starting price of Rs 2.83 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Kwid facelift now sports a redesigned front profile carrying an all-new grille with chrome inserts. The profile is further highlighted by new headlights placed in separate pods. Dimensionally, the new Renault Kwid measures 3731mm in length, 1579mm in width, 1474mm in height along with wheelbase and ground clearance of 2422mm and 184mm respectively. The updated Kwid also comes with a 28-litre fuel tank. The new Kwid is offered in attractive six shades - Fiery Red, Moonlight Silver, Ice Cool White, Outback Bronze, Zanskar Blue and Electric Blue.

Inside the cabin, the small car get dual tone paint scheme featuring chrome and piano black trims. The seats get new fabric upholstery in orange of white shade. The overall cabin space is underlined by new leather wrapped, 3-spoke steering wheel and a new digital instrument cluster. Additionally, the new Kwid is also equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

On the safety front, the new Kwid is packed with driver airbag, ABS with EBD, over speed alert, rear parking sensors and seat belt reminder. Moreover, the company is also offering passenger airbag as optional. And, rear view camera with guideline is also offered on selected variants.

Under the hood, the 2019 Renault Kwid facelift is offered in two powertrain options. The engines offered on the small car are 799cc, 3-cylinder petrol and 999cc, 3-cylinder petrol units. The former is tuned to make 53 bhp of max power @ 5678 rpm along with 72Nm of peak torque @ 4386 rpm whereas the latter makes 67 bhp of max power @ 5,500 rpm with peak torque of 91 Nm @ 4,250 rpm. Transmission duties are carried out by a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard whereas the 1.0-liter version gets optional 5-speed AMT.
