Hyundai Motor India on Thursday officially introduced the new 2019 Hyundai Elantra sedan in the country. Launched at an introductory price of Rs 15.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Elantra is equipped with a BS6 compliant powertrain option. The company is also offering a three-year Hyundai premium assurance package with the sedan. Available in four variants, the new 2019 Elantra from Hyundai is offered in five shades - Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Marina Blue, Fiery Red and Phantom Black. On the exterior front, the new 2019 Hyundai Elantra comes with signature-style hexagonal grille upfront along with LED quad projector headlights, LED DRLs and LED tail lights. The overall appeal of the sedan is accentuated by new 16-inch alloys, dual-tone rear bumper, shark fin antenna, aluminium pedals, chrome-finished doors handles and much more. Dimensionally, the sedan measures 4620mm in length, 1800mm in width and 1465mm in height while the wheelbase stands at 2700mm.
The new 2019 Elantra sports a premium cabin featuring a seven-inch touchscreen display audio, eight-inch HD touch AVN and telematics system and all-new instrument panel with coloured MID. On the feature-front, the sedan is equipped with hi-tech features such as dual-zone FATC, ventilated seats upfront, auto cruise control, Infinity sound system, 10-way adjustable power driver seat with electric lumbar support, electric sunroof and more. Additionally, the new sedan is loaded with Blue Link connectivity technology, which is powered by Vodafone-Idea eSIM. Coming to the safety aspect, the new sedan from Hyundai packs six airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX, seatbelt reminder, rear parking sensors, speed sensing auto door lock and impact sensing auto door unlock.
Under the hood, the new sedan comes powered by a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre Nu petrol engine that is mated to a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox. The unit is capable of producing 152 PS of maximum power with peak torque of 192 Nm. The company claims that the sedan is capable of returning fuel mileage of 14.60 kmpl for both the manual and automatic petrol variants. Here are the variant-wise prices of 2019 Hyundai Elantra:-
