2019 Ford Endeavour Facelift (Mahindra Alturas SUV Rival) Spied; India Launch Imminent

When launched, the upcoming 2019 Ford Endeavour Facelift SUV will take on the upcoming Mahindra Alturas G4, Toyota Fortuner and others in the segment.

As Mahindra's Alturas SUV is slated to be launched in India next week, Ford India is also looking revive its rival in the full-size segment. The new 2019 Endeavour facelift is expected to make its domestic debut by early next year, which has been spied testing ahead of official launch. The refreshed avatar of the Ford Endeavour SUV will carry similar updates to the one that is already on sale in other markets like Thailand and Australia. Going by the spy shots, the new 2019 Endeavour facelift will sport reworked front grille with triple slat as well as big 20-inch alloys. The SUV will also come with HID headlamps, fog lamps integrated into the front bumper, faux skid plate and much more. Inside the cabin, the SUV is also expected to sport some revisions as well, which could new touchscreen infotainment system with Ford SYNC 3 along with other tit-bits for enhancing the overall premium experience. Feature-wise, the SUV could sport passive keyless entry, push button start, new infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation and much more.

Currently, the American car maker offers Ford Endeavour SUV with 2.2-litre diesel and 3.2-litre diesel units capable of making 168hp & 200hp of power figures respectively. However, the facelifted version of Endeavour will ditch both these engines. Discontinuing these units, the company will introduce the SUV will much advanced 2.0-litre diesel engine that is seen on the international-spec model. Moreover, the new engine is expected to be offered in two states of tune. Transmission duties are likely to be carried out by a 6-speed manual as standard along with optional automatic unit.

Once launched, the SUV will take on the upcoming Mahindra Alturas G4, Skoda Kodiaq, Isuzu MUX, Honda CR-V and Toyota Fortuner in the full-sized SUV segment. The SUV will be priced in the bracket of Rs 25 lakh to Rs 32 lakh (ex-showroom).
