Indian Motorcycles is all geared up to launch the new Roadmaster Elite motorcycle in the Indian market today. Expected to be the most expensive motorcycle in the country, the special variant of the Roadmaster will sport cosmetic enhancements as compared to the regular version of Indian Roadmaster. Moreover, the main underline of the new Roadmaster Elite is the 23-karat gold leaf badging on the fuel tank that gives a unique feature to the motorcycle. It also comes with chrome bumpers at the front and rear fenders that adds an premium quotient to the motorcycle.
In terms of equipment, the special edition of Roadmaster comes with LED Lights as seen on the regular Roadmaster, heated seat and grips, electrically adjustable windscreen, cruise control, navigation, remote locking saddle bag, top box and much more. It also comes with 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit as well as in-built 300W audio system with speakers fitted in fairing, trunk and saddlebags.
Mechanically, the motorcycle comes powered by the same 1811cc Thunderstroke 111 motor which is tuned to make 161.6Nm of peak torque @ 3000 rpm. The motor is mated to a 6-speed transmission. Suspension duties on the motorcycle are carried out front telescopic forks along with a monoshock setup at the rear. As far as the competition is concerned, the motorcycle will compete against Harley Davidson CVO Limited which is priced at Rs. 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The motorcycle will be brought into the Indian market as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) likewise the entire range. We speculate that the motorcycle will be priced around Rs. 50 lakh (ex-showroom).
