Honda Car India, a popular Japanese car maker will be launching the new generation Honda Amaze sub-compact sedan in India tomorrow. Ahead of its official launch, the company has started dispatching the new Amaze sedan to the authorized Honda dealerships. The deliveries for the second generation Honda Amaze 2018 will commence immediately after the launch. The new Honda Amaze sedan will be pitted against the likes of Hyundai Xcent and Maruti Dzire. The prices for the sedan will be revealed tomorrow, however, first 20,000 buyers will be offered with an introductory price tag. The second generation Honda Amaze 2018 will be offered in 4 trim levels - E, S, V and VX. Moreover, the new 2018 Amaze sedan is based on the 2UA platform which will underpins future cars from Honda. The sedan will be equipped with features like touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, cruise control, rear parking sensors with camera, alloy wheels and push start-stop button.
The new Honda Amaze 2018 sedan will be offered with a choice of petrol and diesel engines as seen on the outgoing model. The petrol engine is the same 1.2-litre i-VTEC unit tuned to produce 87 bhp of max power and 100Nm of peak whereas the diesel unit is also remain untouched which is a 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine that will be develop 98.6 Bhp and 200 Nm of power figures. Both the engines will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard along with CVT automatic gearbox as an option. Moreover, the company will also be offering paddle shifters on petrol CVT and diesel CVT variants. Coming to the price point, the all-new Honda Amaze sedan is expected to be slotted in the price bracket of Rs. 5.5 lakh to Rs. 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Amaze will compete in the sub-compact sedan space against Hyundai Xcent, Tata Tigor, Maruti Dzire, Volkswagen Ameo and Ford Aspire.
