Following the toss, Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur said, " We wanted to bowl first. We took two days off because we've been playing a lot of cricket."
Talking about the team combinations, Kaur confirmed that they have replaced Arundhati Reddy with Mansi Joshi.
Ireland captain Laura Delany said that they are looking to set small targets in the match and execute them. Right-hand batwoman Lara Maritz has also made her comeback in the team, the captain informed.
"With a bit of rain around, we thought we'll field first. We want to set small targets and execute. Maritz is in today," Delany said.
India women's team would be aiming to sweep their third group match to enter the last four spot of the prestigious tournament.
The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side has won both of their two matches - New Zealand by 34 runs in the opening fixture, and Pakistan by 7 wickets in the second game.
