A 21-year-old Delhi University graduate allegedly committed suicide in north Delhi's Burari, police said Monday.
New Delhi, Oct 22 (PTI) A 21-year-old Delhi University graduate allegedly committed suicide in north Delhi's Burari, police said Monday.
The woman, who had completed her graduation from Delhi University's Shyam Lal College and was currently pursuing post-graduation through IGNOU, was found hanging at her residence this morning, they said. No suicide note was found.
They said she was in a relationship with a man living in the neighbourhood. On Sunday evening, the woman's family and the man's family had a fight and police were also called, police said.
The families had said they would give complaints against each other on Monday. It is suspected the woman might have been upset due to the situation, police said.
The woman's family also claimed that the man's family had pelted stones and broken the windows of their house when she was alone on Sunday, police said.
Police are probing all angles, they added.
