New Delhi, September 18: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, during the release of the third edition of the Veda Bhashya of all four Vedas, said that the rise of Sanatan Dharma is being witnessed. Speaking at the event RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Wednesday said, "It is not my right to speak about the Vedas. Vedas and Bharat are not two separate things. The Vedas contain knowledge, and this knowledge is of both kinds - material as well as spiritual. We know that the Vedas were not written, they were not thought of; they were seen."

Bhagwat said that Krishna was a mantradrishta (seer of mantras) and he saw all of this. "The whole world agrees that all religions are traditions, and science also acknowledges that the first form of creation was sound. It is said in the Bible too that the first word was God. The entire world is made of these sounds, which in tradition is called Sabdeshwar--meaning that they see the sounds themselves," Bhagwat said. He explained how Bharat and Vedas are similar and said, "Here, our people did not stop. They began searching within because our motherland is Bharat. It was secure and prosperous. Due to this prosperity, we did not have to compete to live our lives. There was abundance for everyone, and being safe from all sides, there was no fear of invasion at that time. So, there was both time and, due to living a sattvic (pure) life, there was also an inclination towards introspection. Hence, we did not stop here. We said, if we don't find it outside, what is there inside? In this quest, we went deep within. And upon reaching that point, we realized that, in reality, the entire universe is one." He further said that everything is interconnected.

"The separations we see--the way we look at each other and interact with one another, whether it be in good or bad ways, the battles of virtue and sin--all of this is momentary. To a certain extent, it is valid, but beyond that, it is incorrect, meaning it doesn't exist. That is why it is called mithya (illusion). Mithya means it works up to a certain point, but beyond that, it doesn't hold true'." he added. He said that the Vedas are called the method of knowledge.

"That is why I said Bharat and the Vedas are together, synonymous, and because they are understood from the source, they contain all knowledge. That is why we call our Vedas the method of knowledge. And it is not just a method for material life, but also for spiritual life. Therefore, for the entire society, the Vedas are the knowledge of life. This is why we say that the concept of life exists because of dharma (righteousness)," he added. He said that Dharma is the foundation of all life, and it has many meanings. "That is why the duties we must perform to keep life in order are also called dharma--such as the dharma of a king, the dharma of a son. To ensure life runs smoothly and to live together, we must understand each other's nature, and based on that nature, we should behave in a way that maintains harmony. This is why nature itself is also referred to as dharma. However, the knowledge of dharma comes from the Vedas because the Vedas are rooted in truth," Bhagwat told.

He said the rise of Sanatan Dharma has come and is being witnessed. "It is said that the time for the rise of Sanatan Dharma has come. It has arrived, and we are witnessing it. We also know that the shape of the entire world is changing and evolving in this direction," Bhagwat said.
