This year, on February 14 we are going to burn effigies of Valentine on the roads at various places. We demand all the restaurants and malls to not celebrate Valentine’s Day. If they celebrate and if anything happens on the day, (then) we are not responsible for that," Mukesh, Convener, Bajrang Dal, Hyderabad City, told ANI.This is not the first time that Bajrang Dal has demanded that people stop celebrating Valentine's Day.For several years now, the Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad have been staging protests against Valentine’s Day celebrations.Last year, a few cases were also registered against Bajrang Dal workers for vandalising places where celebrations were going on.This year too, the Bajrang Dal workers have written an open letter to many pubs, restaurants and malls to not celebrate Valentine’s Day.
