New Delhi [India], Feb 19 (ANI): The participation of the Pakistani players in the forthcoming shooting World Cup, which is slated to be held in New Delhi, is hanging in uncertainty with the rifle associations of both the countries giving varying statement in the matter.National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) secretary Rajiv Bhatia on Tuesday confirmed that Pakistani players have been granted visa and that they would be coming to India to participate in the tournament. “They have informed me about their travel details. As of today, they have been granted the visa and the team is coming. We'll contact the High Commission to take an update,” Bhatia told ANI.National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP) executive vice president Javed S lodhi, on the other hand, has stated that they are yet to get the Indian visa.“We have not got the Indian visa yet. We will be able to travel to India only if we get the visa on time,” Lodhi stated.Two Pakistani shooters, along with their coach, are scheduled to arrive on February 20 to take part in the prestigious tournament, according to the NRAI secretary.The Shooting World Cup 2019 is slated to be held from February 20 to 28 in New Delhi. The event holds significance as there are 16 Tokyo 2020 Olympics quota places up for grabs.(ANI)
