Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], Apr 13 (ANI): Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) on Saturday arrested two more persons, including an Afghan national in connection with last month's seizure of 100 kg heroin from a boat off the Porbandar coast.Niyamat Ahmedzhai, an Afghani national, was arrested from Delhi's Lajpat Nagar, while Mohammad Abdul Salam Kunni was arrested from Kerala.The case pertains to a mid-sea operation jointly conducted by the Gujarat Anti-terrorist squad and Indian Coast Guards, in which 100 kg heroin was seized from a boat off the Porbandar coast on March 26.In addition, nine Iranian nations had been apprehended from the boat.The operation was launched after the Gujarat ATS received information that a huge consignment of Heroin was going to be smuggled to the state through the sea route from Pakistan, according to a statement by ATS.After more than 24 hours of search, a suspicious boat was identified while making an attempt to communicate in the particular frequency.Indian Coast Guard (ICG) ship stealthily followed the boat and directed the suspected boat to stop.
