According to the authorities, cows, belonging to local residents of Kempatty Colony and Ukkadam, were creating traffic menace in the area as the cattle wander on the road.Despite objections from cow owners, this is the first time in Tamil Nadu that authorities are capturing cattle and sending them to a Gaushala.
