The character of Eile, which will now be recast, was described as an elite warrior blessed with the voice of a goddess, who has left her clan and position as Queen's guardian to follow her heart as a nomadic musician. Recently, Vikings star Laurence O'Fuarain was cast in the show for the role Fjall. Declan de Barra will serve as the showrunner and executive producer.
Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who is the showrunner on The Witcher series, is attached as the executive producer on the prequel.
