Washington D.C. [U.S.A], Sep 16 (ANI): American actor Terry Crews said that he has accepted his sexual assaulter Adam Venit's apology since the agent has resigned from William Morris Endeavor (WME).
The 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' star had accused Venit of groping him at a Hollywood party in 2016, and he filed a police report against him in November, last year, reported Variety.
The 'Expendables 3' actor took to his Twitter handle and shared the apology letter which he received earlier this year from the former WME agent.
"@WME 's ADAM VENIT FULL APOLOGY LETTER: Received: March 22nd, 2018 Accepted WITH HIS RESIGNATION: September 10th, 2018 #Accountability," Crews tweeted.
Venit in the apology letter said that he takes responsibility and wrote, "I know that you didn't ask for any of this. Again, I take responsibility for us being here now, together in this situation. I am sorry for all of it."
Venit is leaving WME, 10 months after Terry crews accused him of sexual assault. Terry Crews, Adam Venit and WME have recently settled the lawsuit which was filed against Venit by Crews last year, dismissing the charges against Venit.
Venit had been a part of WME since the company's founding. He worked at Endeavour from 1996 to 2009, after which the company merged with the William Morris agency. He had started his career in the mailroom of Creative Artists Agency, where he worked for almost 11 years before becoming a leader in the talent department.
He has repped some of Hollywood's biggest celebrities including Adam Sandler and Sylvester Stallone.
However, his career took a downfall when his former client Terry Crews accused Venit of groping him at a party, last year. Crews first revealed it on Twitter before filing a police report about the incident.
Venit was suspended for 30 days while the agency was investigating the allegations against him. Though Venit was eventually cleared of the accusations, he stepped down as the head of the motion picture department. (ANI)
