Jammu, Jun 22 (PTI) The president of the BJP's Jammu and Kashmir unit, Ravinder Raina, today said terrorists, irrespective of their affiliations, would be tracked and eliminated to restore the rule of law in the state.

"We will not remain mute spectators. Our security forces will find them one by one, wherever they are hiding, and neutralise them irrespective of whether they belong to the Islamic State, Hizbul Mujahideen, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) or any other group," Raina said.

He was responding to a question about two militants affiliated to the Islamic State Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK) being gunned down by the security forces in an encounter earlier today.

"The (NSG) commandoes have reached (Kashmir) and you will shortly find them (militants) fleeing the valley," Raina claimed.

He said lawlessness would not be allowed in the state and "the rule of the law will be enforced."

"We will not spare anyone. The operation will be taken to its logical end and the valley will be made terror-free," he said.

The state BJP spokesperson Anil Gupta accused the Congress party of resorting to hate politics.

His comments were targeted at senior Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Saifuddin Soz.

Azad had recently said that Army operations in Jammu and Kashmir had killed more civilians than terrorists, while Soz said today that the people of Kashmir would prefer independence.

Gupta said Azad's statement accusing the Centre of planning “massacre of innocents” in Kashmir by imposing Governor's rule was welcomed by Pakistani terrorist outfit LeT.

This, he added, proved that the two spoke the same language and shared a common ideology.

He said the Congress president Rahul Gandhi needs to explain to the nation if his party also supports the “secessionist and pro-Pak ideology” of its Kashmiri leaders.

“Congress is propagating Pakistan's propaganda in India and a strong Pakistan lobby exists within the party,” the BJP state spokesperson alleged.

He said the Congress needs to introspect instead of shifting the blame onto the BJP through a “motivated propaganda”.
