New Delhi, Apr 11 (PTI) Sugar prices registered a decline of Rs 60 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following abound availability of stock on relentless arrivals from mills due to record output along with muted demand from stockist and bulk consumers.
Marketmen said bloated stock positions on perpetual supplies from mills because of record output along with paucity of necessary demand from stockist and bulk consumers such as soft-drink and ice-cream makers, mainly pulled down sugar prices.
Coming to price section, sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices dropped by Rs 60 each to settle at Rs 3,000-3,100 and Rs 2,990-3,090 per quintal respectively.
Mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices also receded by Rs 45 each to end at Rs 2,800-2,915 and Rs 2,790-2,905 per quintal.
In mill gate section, sugar Kinnoni, Dorala, Dhanora and Khatuli declined by Rs 45 each to Rs 2,915, Rs 2,830 and rest both at Rs 2900 each, while Asmoli, Simbholi and Shamli slipped by Rs 40 each to Rs 2,880, Rs 2,900 and Rs 2,820 per quintal.
