Jaipur, May 25 (PTI) Sriganganagar was the hottest place in Rajasthan, recording a maximum temperature of 46.5 degrees Celsius, a Meteorological (MeT) department official said.

The maximum temperature was recorded one to two degrees Celsius higher compared to yesterday in most of the parts of the state, he said. 

Sriganganagar was the hottest place with 46.5 degrees Celsius, followed by 45.9 in Churu, 45.6 in Bikaner, 44.8 each in Barmer, 44 in Pilani, 43.7 in Kota, 43.5 each in Jodhpur and Ajmer, 43.4 in Jaipur, 42.6 in Dabok, the official said.

The maximum temperature was recorded three to four degrees more than the normal temperature at most places in the state, he said.

The minimum temperature was recorded between 23.8 and 29.6 degrees Celsius, the official said. 

The MeT department has predicted heat wave condition at isolated places in next 24 hours.
