Aryna Sabalenka too won a hard fought match here at the Rod Laver Arena. On the other hand Emma Raducanu and Garbine Muguruza faced 2nd round exit.

An inspired Kyrgios forced a break of serve in the third set to take the match into the fourth set but Medvedev clawed his way back to regain control.
