Lucknow, April 22: Samajwadi Party on Monday fielded Shalini Yadav from Varanasi parliamentary constituency against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shalini Yadav is the daughter-in-law of former Rajya Sabha Deputy chairperson Shyam Lal Yadav. Earlier in the evening, Yadav crossed over to the SP from the Congress party in the presence of party chief Akhilesh Yadav at a press conference here. Her father-in-law was a senior Congress leader and had represented Varanasi in the Parliament. The counting of votes will take place on May 23.
