New Delhi [India], Sep 6 (ANI): Three passengers and seven crew members of Dubai to New York Emirates flight, who fell ill during the journey, were admitted to the hospital for further medical care and evaluation.

The airline, in a statement informed that all passengers were disembarked and were screened by the local health authorities prior to disembarkation. It also stated that nine other passengers had to undergo an additional medical screening at the site near the aircraft.

The Emirates flight EK203 was quarantined at New York's John F Kennedy Airport on Wednesday after about 10 passengers fell sick while travelling.

The airline had also released a statement, confirming the news. "Emirates can confirm that about 10 passengers on EK203 from Dubai to New York were taken ill. On arrival, as a precaution, they were attended to by local health authorities. All others will disembark shortly. The safety and care of our customers is our first priority," read the statement.(ANI)
