New Delhi, Apr 11 (PTI) Select pulses led by gram fell by upto Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on subdued demand from retailers and dal mills.

However, masoor and its dal ended higher on selective buying.

Traders said subdued demand from retailers and dal mills against ample stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts mainly led to decline in gram and other pulses prices.

In the national capital, gram fell by Rs 100 to Rs 3,800-3,900, while its dal local and best quality traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 3,900-4,300 and Rs 4,300-4,400 per quintal respectively. Besan Shaktibhog and Rajdhani quoted lower at Rs 1,850 each instead of Rs 1,900 each per 35 kg bag.

Arhar and its dal dara variety also drifted lower by Rs 100 and Rs 200 to Rs 4,150 and Rs 5,800-7,700 per quintal.

Urad and its dal chilka local too shed Rs 50 and Rs 100 to Rs 3,800-5,100 and Rs 4,600-4,700 per quintal. Its dal best quality and dhoya enquired lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,700-5,200 and Rs 5,100-5,300 per quintal respectively.

On the other hand, masoor small and bold edged higher to Rs 3,700-3,800 and Rs 3,800-3,900 from previous levels of Rs 3,550-3,700 and Rs 3,650-3,800 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality were up by Rs 200 each to Rs 4,100-4,500 and Rs 4,200-4,600 per quintal.
