New Delhi, Apr 10 (PTI) Prices of select base metals, led by aluminium, rose by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today largely in tandem with a firming trend overseas.
Traders said, besides firming trend overseas, increased demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market mainly led to a rise in select base metal prices.
Globally, aluminium for delivery in three month edged higher 0.2 per cent on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, aluminium ingots, sheet cutting, wire scrap and utensils scrap remained in demand and added another Rs 2 each to Rs 161, Rs 157, Rs 157 and Rs 155 per kg, respectively.
Copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4x4) also enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 422 and Rs 827-832 per kg, respectively.

Zinc ingot Rs 126-132, nickel plate (4x4) Rs 827-832, gun metal scrap Rs 227, bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 422, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 123, lead imported Rs 130, aluminium ingots Rs 161, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 157, aluminium wire scrap Rs 157 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 155.
