Sydney [Australia], Jan 4 (ANI): Indian batsman Rishabh Pant on Friday became the first national wicket-keeper to score a Test hundred in Australia.
His centurion knock on Day Two of the ongoing fourth Test against Australia also made him the first Indian wicket-keeper to score two centuries at the age of 21 or before, ESPNcricinfo stats reported.
The right-hand batsman had scored a record ton against England as well when he became the first Indian keeper to score a Test century against them, last year.
The record list for Pant does not end here as he is also the highest scorer for India as a wicket-keeper in Australia. He surpassed former Indian keeper Farokh Engineer's score of 89 runs at Adelaide in 1967-68 to achieve the feat.
Meanwhile, India have crossed the 500-mark on Day Two of their ongoing fourth Test against Australia. Pant and Ravindra Jadeja are currently holding the crease for India. (ANI)
