New Delhi, Apr 11 (PTI) Prices of rice basmati fell further by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on the back of muted demand against sufficient stocks position.
However, other grains held steady in thin trade.
Traders said easing demand from retailers and stockists against sufficient stocks position increased arrivals from growing regions,mainly kept pressure on rice basmati prices.
In the national capital, rice basmati common and Pusa-1121 variety declined by Rs 200 each to Rs 7,400-7,500 and Rs 6,700-6,800 per quintal respectively.
