Mississauga (Ontario) [Canada], May 26 (ANI): An explosion at an Indian restaurant, here on Friday, wounded at least 15 people, three of them critically. The manhunt for two men, who detonated an improvised explosive device, is underway.
"There's no indication this is a terrorist attack. There's no indication this is a hate crime. At this time, we haven't ruled anything out as we start our investigation," CNN quoted Peel Regional Police Chief Jennifer Evans as saying.
The suspects walked into the Bombay Bhel Indian restaurant in the city outside Toronto at around 10:30 p.m. and detonated the device, the police said.
They then fled, in a vehicle, the police believe.
Peel Region paramedic Joe Korstanje said that three people suffered critical injuries from the blast and were taken to a hospital while the remaining 12 victims suffered what he described as minor and superficial injuries, reported Fox News.
The Police have described the suspects' description and asked the public to help in identifying them. (ANI)
