Refined Palmolein Recovers on Renewed Demand

Mumbai, Apr 5 (PTI) Refined palmolein prices recovered modestly at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to renewed demand from retailers.

However, groundnut oil and linseed oil ruled stable in the absence of any major buying activity.

In non-edible section, castor seeds bold and castor oil commercial continued their downtrend for the third straight session following reduced offtake from shippers and soap industries.

In the edible segment, refined palmolein moved up by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 732 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 730. Groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 850 per 10 kg.

Moving to the non-edible segment, castor seeds bold fell by Rs 30 per 100 kg to Rs 4,135 from Rs 4,165 and castor oil commercial declined by Rs 6 per 10 kg to Rs 857 as against Rs 863 earlier. Linseed oil ended unaltered at Rs 798 per 10 kg.
