Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Mar 29 (ANI): The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) on Friday arrested seven people and seized 75 kilograms of Gold.As per an official statement, two vehicles were intercepted in Dongri area here, which resulted in the recovery.The accused have been identified as, Nisar Aliyar, Shoeb Zarodarwala, Abdul Ahad Zarodarwala,Shaikh Abdul Ahad, Happy Dhakad, Manoj Jain and Aaquil Fruitwala. They have been remanded to judicial custody.Shoeb Zarodarwala and Abdul Ahad Zarodarwala in their statements have admitted that they had received more than 200 kilograms of gold, which was smuggled into the country by Nisar Aliyar.They further stated that they had been selling the smuggled gold in the wholesale market for a commission.Further investigation is underway.
