China's TV personalities and the host of CCTV's 'Spring Festival Gala', Zhu Jun, has now been accused of sexual harassment by a former intern, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

Zhu's story of harassment is that of power abuse, a cover-up is much like many #MeToo stories But, what makes it uniquely Chinese is the concealment.

A Chinese user who posted a lengthy 3000-word post in a microblogging site accused Zhu of sexual harassment.

The one who wrote the blog post claimed to be an intern on CCTV's celebrity interview show 'Artistic Life' wherein she was instructed to bring fruit to Zhu who was seated inside his dressing room.

She alleged that after a fellow intern left the room, Zhu began talking about his influence and attempted to molest her on the context of letting her stay with the TV network.

In her blog, she further mentioned that she was saved as the show's guest arrived.

The blogger who was shocked by the attack and claimed that the attempt by Zhu showed that he might have done this a number of times in the past.

After she reported the incident to the police, she was convinced by the authorities concerned to drop it.

Following which her blog post disappeared within hours.

The tag #MeTooChina has been systematically blocked on a major social media networks controlled by the Asian country.

The allegations against Zhu follows after several allegations against media veteran, Zhang Wen and charity activist, Lei Chuang. (ANI)
