Mumbai, Oct 22 (PTI) A POCSO court here Monday awarded life imprisonment to a man for raping an 18-year-old girl at knife-point in suburban Kurla.

Special Judge M A Baraliya convicted the accused, Tushar Bangera (26).

As per the case details, the victim had joined a dance academy in Kurla in June 2012, where she came in touch with the accused who was also a student there.

The two entered into a relationship but the victim called it off due to Bagnera's drinking and smoking habits.

On July 7, 2013, the accused called the victim to the dance centre near the Phoenix Mall in Kurla on the pretext of rehearsing for a dance event.

There he raped the victim and even took nude pictures of her.
