Medininagar (Jharkhand), May 12 (PTI) The police today recovered a man's body from Dumardih jungle in Jharkhand's Palamu district.

The man was killed allegedly over an illicit relationship with a woman of his village, police said.

The incident happened under the jurisdiction of Chainpur police station, the police said.

Police recovered the body today after the victim's father had registered a case in this regard, the Superintendent of Police of Palamu, Indrajeet Mahatha, said.

Mahatha said the victim had an illicit relationship with the daughter of a resident of Karson village.

The woman's father and her brother were opposed to their relationship and had even warned the man, he said.

The two had allegedly killed the man on Thursday and dumped the body in the jungle, the SP said.

The family members of the man Raj Kumar started looking for him when he did not return home and lodged an FIR with the police on Friday, he said.

The accused persons (the woman's father and brother) have been absconding and the police have launched a hunt to apprehend them, he added.
