New Delhi, Nov 17 (PTI) A 22-year-old man, who claimed to have been inspired by actor Shah Rukh Khan's character in the film Raees, was arrested from Dwarka area here for allegedly supplying ganja, police said Saturday.
In the 2017 film, Khan had portrayed the role of a gangster who builds his criminal empire by dealing in illicit liquor.
The accused was identified as Satish, they said.
He was arrested on Friday while he was coming from the direction of Sector-3, Dwarka, a senior police officer said.
The police recovered 2.5 kilograms of ganja and cash worth Rs 3,05,000 from Satish's possession.

New Delhi, Nov 7 (PTI) A 23-year-old alleged auto lifter, who carried a bounty of Rs 25,000 on his head, has been arrested from west Delhi's Dwarka, police said Saturday.
The accused was identified as Vikas alias Rahul, a resident of Haryana's Rohtak district, they added.
He was arrested on Friday in connection with a car theft in March this year.
On March 12, one Ravi Chopra was allegedly abducted by armed robbers near Dwarka's Sector-11 metro station. The robbers allegedly dumped him near Kapashera and fled with his car, the police said.
During investigation, the police nabbed Vikas and recovered the stolen car.

The accused was identified as Anil, a resident of Jhajjar district in Haryana, they said.
He was arrested on Friday after police received a tip off about transportation of illegal liquor, they added.
A car was intercepted in west Delhi's Dwarka at around midnight and the driver, Anil, arrested, the police said.
Forty-four cartons of liquor were recovered from the car, they said.
During interrogation, the accused told police that he bought the liquor from Gurgaon for supplying in parts of west Delhi.

New Delhi, Nov 17 (PTI) Three ex-employees of an advocate were arrested for allegedly stealing Rs 10 lakh from his house, police said Saturday.
The arrested persons were identified as Mukesh Kumar (32), Amit Kumar (30), and Shakti Singh (30), Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) (southeast) Chinmoy Biswal said.
In August this year, an advocate had lodged a complaint against unknown persons alleging that cash worth around Rs 10 lakh was stolen from his house, he said.
Following a tip off, Mukesh and Amit were arrested from Jasola Vihar area, Biswal said.
During interrogation, Mukesh, who worked as a driver for the complainant for two years, told police that he had hatched the plan for the robbery with Amit, his brother-in-law, the officer said.
Amit was employed as an office boy by the advocate, he added.
The accused had roped in a hardcore criminal, Shakti, to execute their plan, the police said.
Using the leads provided by the Mukesh and Amit, police arrested Singh from Noida.
A car and cash worth Rs 9.70 lakh were recovered from the accused, the police said.
