New Delhi, Nov 25 (PTI) A 25-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stealing two-wheelers, police said here on Monday.

The accused has been identified as Rakesh.

A country-made pistol and a live cartridge were recovered from him, they said.

"After receiving a tip-off, a raid was conducted near Satyawti Colony and Rakesh was nabbed. During interrogation, he disclosed his involvement in several cases of auto theft. Three more stolen vehicles were recovered," Vijayanta Arya, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest), said.

Rakesh was previously involved in five cases of vehicle theft, snatching and robbery, he said.

New Delhi, Nov 25 (PTI) A 32-year-old man was arrested allegedly for theft while trying to flee after jumping from the first floor of a house in Vikaspuri, police said on Monday.

The accused has been identified as Jasson James, a resident of Vikaspuri.

He was previously involved in a murder case, they said.

"On Sunday at 11.10 pm, police received information regarding the theft. Police reached the spot and entered the room from the window where the thief was hiding. In order to flee, James jumped from the first floor, but was nabbed," said Sharat Kumar Sinha, Deputy Commissioner of Police.

"On search, 10 water taps, including two jet connections, were recovered from him," he said.
