New Delhi, Oct 8 (PTI) A 20-year-old man was arrested allegedly for bag lifting in West Delhi's Madipur, police said Monday.
The stolen bag which contained 15 wrist watches and three hair smoothers was recovered from his possession, they said.
On Saturday, one Mukesh Kumar reported that during daytime, he had come to B Block Market, Madipur on his scooter. When he returned after shopping, he found his bag missing from the scooter, a senior police officer said, adding that the bag contained 30 wrist watches, three hair smoothers.
Police spotted a person with the stolen bag in one of the CCTV footages. The accused was later identified as Ankush and arrested, he said.
During interrogation, Ankush disclosed that he used to commit thefts and sell the stolen items to people residing in the nearby areas.
