New York, Aug 16 (PTI) Maggie Gyllenhaal-starrer "The Kindergarten Teacher" has been announced as the opening film at the Hamptons International Film Festival.

In a statement, the festival organisers said the film, directed by Sara Colangelo, will open the festival on October 4 at Guild Hall in East Hampton.
