The BJP had declared its first list of 72 candidates on April 8. The party's top brass is believed to have discussed probables for the remainder seats in the 224-member assembly.
Sources said names of more BJP candidates are likely to be announced in a day or two.
The BJP is seeking to come back to power in the state, dislodging the Congress. H D Deve Gowda-led JD(S) is the third major player in the contest.
The results of the election will be declared on May 15.
