Jammu, Jun 16 (PTI) Two Pakistani nationals were arrested by the BSF troops after they inadvertently crossed over to the Indian side along the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district, where authorities sent them back, a senior official said.

The Border Security Force handed over the Pakistani nationals, who inadvertently crossed over to the Indian side along the IB last night, to Pakistan Rangers at the Suchetgarh border, Inspector General of BSF Jammu frontier Ram Awtar said.

On the intervening night of June 15-16, the Pakistani nationals were apprehended by alert troops of the BSF, he said.

During preliminary questioning, they revealed their name as Sohal and Ahmed, both residents of Pakistan's Chamman village, Awtar added.

It came out that they inadvertently crossed the IB due to little knowledge about that particular patch, he said.

On being approached by the Pakistan Rangers at the Suchetgarh border, adopting a humane approach, the strength of our sovereignty and integrity, the BSF handed over both the Pakistani nationals to the Pakistan Rangers.
