Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], September 4 (ANI): Trinamool Congress leader and Former Rajya Sabha MP Kunal Ghosh on Wednesday posed a list of questions on the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) over the RG Kar medical hospital rape and murder case.

Demanding answers from the CBI, Ghosh said that the central agency has to answer whether there is vengeance involved in the RG Kar medical hospital incident.

"Tomorrow on September 5, the CBI will have to answer some questions related to the RG Kar medical college incident. They have to answer if there were one person or more people involved in the case. They also need to clear if this is an actual case of rape and murder or is any revengeful motive behind doing this.

"If CBI is saying that there was some disturbance at the place of occurrence then they have to justify this and if they do that, they have to answer what action have they taken against that person who created the disturbance," Ghosh added.

"The CBI will have to answer all these four points in the court tomorrow," he said.

TMC leader Kunal Ghosh's demand comes a day ahead of the Supreme Court hearing on the alleged rape and murder of a 31-year-old trainee doctor at the RG Kar medical hospital.

Earlier, on Monday the CBI investigated the crime spot of the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital where the alleged rape and murder of a trainee doctor took place on August 9.

The CBI also inspected the hospital's emergency building, boys hostel, and the principal's office on Sunday, an official said.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has concluded a second round of polygraph tests on former RG Kar Medical College and Hospital (RGKMCH) principal Sandip Ghosh as part of their investigation into the rape-murder of a woman doctor at the institution.

The test was conducted by a team from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL). CBI officials had also conducted a polygraph test on the arrested accused, Sanjay Roy, in connection with the incident.

Meanwhile, the agitation over the rape and murder of the 31-year0old trainee doctor is continuing across West Bengal, with junior doctors staging protest at Kolkata'sLal Bazar demanding resignation of police commissioner Vineet Goyal.

Following massive protests and a social media outrage over the RG Kar medical hospital incident, the West Bengal Assembly unanimously passed the 'Aparajita Woman and Child Bill (West Bengal Criminal Laws and Amendment) 2024'.

The Bill ensures stricter rules and laws in connection with incidents of any sexual assault and rape with a death penalty for the accused.

This comes after the tragic rape and murder of a trainee doctor last month at the RG Kar Medical Centre and Hospital on August 9. (ANI)
